The Reading Room

Our family loves to read. We know we should read more than we do.Sharing like this might help. It is helpful to share what we read with each other. This is a family blog, but if you have read what we are reading or if you are reading something that would be edifying and constructive for our Christian walk, please feel free to share!

For the record....

Whether or not Grandma will give me any credit for just listing and not reviewing, I don't know but for the record, tomorrow is her day of reckoning, so I announce that I’ve read 4 books in their entirety, this year, and several others, much or most.

The four are :
1. Abortion: A rational look at an emotional issue. By R.C. Sproul. Very good. Some excellent helpful arguments for convincing middle-of- the- roaders.
2. The Truth War: by John MacArthur. A good timely book, basically a commentary on the book of Jude.
3. The Intentional Church: by Mark Devers (started last year, but finished this year. It is in French too) Good
4. When Grace Comes Home: by Terry Johnson. An excellent book that cleared up some of my thinking.

No, he does not get any credit!! But then, I didn't count him in the list of participates. After all, he is buying the book prizes for the rest of you!

Dad, I like your concise reviews. I'm half-tempted to follow your example in my subsequent reviews. ;-)
