The Reading Room

Our family loves to read. We know we should read more than we do.Sharing like this might help. It is helpful to share what we read with each other. This is a family blog, but if you have read what we are reading or if you are reading something that would be edifying and constructive for our Christian walk, please feel free to share!

Cowboy Jim and Clip

by Micaiah

Number of pages: 8

Clip is a black and white horse. Cowboy Jim is a cowboy. Cowboy Jim said that Clip is a pest because he didn't want Cowboy Jim to get on him. Cowboy Jim was trying to get on him. Clip kept jumping around and hitting the dust with his feet. Cowboy Jim had a plan. He got some grain for Clip, and he was going to give it to him. He was so happy that Clip let him get on, but then Clip took off for the gate real fast, and Cowboy Jim's hat fell off. I learned that it is difficult for cowboys to train a horse, and that they might get hurt. It might be fun, but I'm not sure if it will be fun.

What an exciting book, Micaiah!! I don't think I would want to train a horse, either. Bravo for your 3rd book.

Great story, Micaiah. Auntie Donna will have to tell you her horse stories sometime--I only have 2 of them! :-)

Wow does that ever sound exciting. I never was very at ease around horses. But I liked to read stories about horses. I'm glad you liked your book. Love Grandpa
